I have successfully completed Diversity on the Bookshelf Reading Challenge hosted by
My Little Pocketbooks. the aim was to read books which have non-white people as one of their main charaters. I had chosen the first level which meant I had to read 1-6 books but I read 11.
Here are the books that I read:
The Human Factor by Graham Greene
Kartography by Kamila Shamsie
Martyr as Bridegroom by Ishwar Dayal Gaur
Prison and Chocolate Cake by Nayantara Sahgal
Almond Eyes Lotus Feet by Sharada Dwivedi and Shalini Devi Holkar
Bhagat Singh: The Jail Notebook
Bhagat Singh: Select Speeches and Writings
The Blank Wall by Elisabeth Sanxay Holding
The Case of the Man who Died Laughing by Tarquin Hall
The Blaft Anthology of Tamil Fiction
The Merry Month of May by James Jones
Nicely done, Neeru! I really like the idea of broadening one's reading and looking at many different kinds of people's experiences.
