India is a land of many languages of which 23 are officially recognised. It is a land thus which has a very rich literature of its own. Unfortunately I have read very few gems of this treasure. Now, I have decided to explore this literature of India. Through the reading of texts either in the original or in translation, I intend to read at least one text from each language.
A Gathering of Friends by Ruskin Bond (2015)
As Death Stared Back by Ajinkya Bhasme (2019)
Kiss of Salt by Smita Bhattacharya (2019)
The Puffin Book of Funny Stories (2005)
Dasa Kumara Charitam (Tale of Ten Princes) by Dandin (650-750 CE)
